JUMP INTO A NEW ADVENTURE |
Mountain ClimbingMount KilimanjaroMt. Kilimanjaro with its snow-capped summits is only three degrees, south of the equator and with a height of 5895m, the highest Mountain of Africa. It is three volcanoes in one. The youngest and highest Peak the Kibo (5895m), the Mawenzi (5149m) and the Shira (3962m). The Kilimanjaro is dormant and only 750,000 years old. During climbing you pass different vegetation areas.
Mt. KenyaWith its 5,199 m height, Mt. Kenya is Africa's second highest mountain. It offers easy or challenging ascent with superb scenic beauty. Although it is right on the equator, its peaks are snow covered all year round. There are four main routes to climb the mountain and a few basic cabins and mountain huts. Part of the mountain's fascination is the variety in flora and fauna as the altitude changes. A number of rare or endangered species can be found here. The mountain is regarded as the perfect model of an equatorial mountain. |
