Ol Donyo Wuas Lodge:

Ol Donyo Wuas lodge is perfectly perched on the slopes of the Chyulu Hills National park which borders Amboseli and Tsavo West National parks, a location as superb as it is unrivaled boasting of fantastic views of Mt.Kilimanjaro not to mention the fact that it sits in one of the traditional wildlife migration routes.

Just recently in 2007 the lodge was completely redone giving it an entirely new look after 21 years of being in existence and reopened in June of 2008 and has since continued to received some impressive reviews from its visitors.

The lodge comprises of ten expansive guest suites in six stand-alone villas with a total of 20beds. They boast of an intricate design, an incorporation of Art from around Africa coupled with the photography of Carol Beckwith and Angela Fisher which creates a commanding space under the high thatch roofs surrounded by cool stonewalls.

The design is contemporary and yet traditional. The panoramic views are nothing short of breathtaking as the vast savannah and the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro provide spectacular scenery. Each villa or suite is uniquely designed with the attention to detail remaining constant.

All suites have a rooftop “star-bed” accessed from the verandah via a snaking stone staircase. The “star-beds” are a fabulous sleep-out option, with utter privacy and all the amenities of the suite just beneath, they include a lounge, verandah, indoor and outdoor showers, double washbasins, flush toilets and bath. All but two of the suites have their own private pool.

The four-bedded private villas are designed for to be multipurpose and can serve families, groups and even couples. They also afford their occupants maximum privacy whilst acting as private bush homes, complete with private vehicle, guide, and chef for full exclusivity.

This lodge offers you the opportunity to indulge in some fascinating pass time activities such as cultural experiences, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, mountain biking and many others giving you a holistic experience.

Governor’s Private Camp:

Located on the bend of the infamous Mara River, Governor’s Private Camp offers exclusivity to its visitors as it can only be booked by one family or group at a time affording you the luxury of having a piece of the wild all to yourself for a short duration of time.

The private camp can only hold a maximum of 16 people at a time with a minimum of four people required to make a booking for not less than 3nights. The camps setting is an awe-inspiring site comprising of the scenic views of wildlife quenching their thirst along the river, hippos relaxing in the shallows whilst baby elephants enjoying a playing dip.

Surrounding the camp is a magnificent forest home to a flourishing bird life ranging from the rare Trogan and Turaco and the nesting Hornbill.

The accommodation comprises of 8 luxurious tents all with sufficient privacy and designed large and comfortable enough to afford its guests the perfect traditional safari experience reminiscent of golden era. They are superbly furnished with handmade furniture and are fitted with private bathrooms with flush-toilets, hot bucket showers and crystal-clear water. After a recent upgrade the camp is now superbly positioned on wooden platforms with extended verandahs.

When it comes to the cuisines on offer here, Governor’s private camp has never disappointed as the Executive chef does what he does best and gives you some of the most delightful dishes ever a good example being the delicious desserts known as “Sinful”.

All drinks are offered free to the guests except for the champagne. The camp’s manager is always at hand to see to it that all your needs are met and your stay is made more comfortable.

Shompole Lodge:

Shompole lodge is superbly perched on the edge of the Nguruman escarpment in Southern Kenya enjoying a beautiful panorama of the vast plains and volcanic hills of the Great Rift Valley. Short distances away are the Lakes Natron and Magadi. Natron a Maasai name meaning the Lake of Fire provides one of the only flamingo breeding habitats in Africa.
