Nile Safari Camp

Nestled amongst rich papyrus forest on the Southern banks of the River Nile, Nile Safari Camp offers some of the most luxurious accommodation in Uganda’s largest National Park – also one of the more romantic locations in Africa.

It has a choice of wooden traditional chalets and luxury double tents cleverly positioned to maximum privacy and the stunning view across Murchison National Park.

The camp is alive with birdlife and may be the best place to spot the rare red-winged grey warbler. Crocodiles and hippo can be seen on the river in front of the camp, elephant and waterbuck come to drink from the opposite bank, and a pair of shoebills inhabit the island in front of the camp.

The camp itself has 12 units, comprising six log chalets and six luxury tents all with en suite showers, flush toilets and comfortable, airy rooms with electrical lighting. The camp is completed by an open fire, strategically positioned and perfect for gazing at Africa’s starlit hemisphere and the crystal clear swimming pool offering refreshment after a hot game drive.
