Updates on British Airways, Kenya Airways, Precision Air and Delta

British Airways will two more flights between London and Entebbe
Starting in late 2009 BA will add later in the year two more weekly flights between London Heathrow and Entebbe to a total of 5 connections each week.

Kenya Airways & Precision Air to Reduce Zanzibar Flights for Runway Rehabilitation
Kenya Airways and its Tanzanian partner Precision Air will reduce flights to Zanzibar from 1st July 2009 to allow for runway rehabilitation. The runway will be closed during the night hours between 1900hrs and 0700hrs for 14 months until August 14, 2010. Kenya Airways and Precision Air will consequently not operate night flights in and out of Zanzibar during this period.

Delta has postponed direct flight from USA to Kenya
The direct flights planned by Delta to Nairobi from July this year were postponed to a late date. Both slow ticket sales and  last minute issues according to the US Embassy in Nairobi. It is expected that the Government of Kenya and Delta will enable service from Atlanta to Nairobi as soon as possible.
