Governors Camp at Masai Mara in Kenya
Little Governors Camp was built in 1976 in the Masai Mara in Kenya with its own independent structure around a watering hole that teems with birds and wildlife. Intimate in character, there are just 17 tents tucked around this watering-hole. From every veranda the view changes daily: Giraffe and Lion, Elephant and Warthog.
Getting here is an adventure in itself; you first have to cross the Mara River by boat, and then walk a short distance, escorted by armed guards, through the forest.

Wildebeest’s Migration
The endless plains of East Africa are the setting for the World’s Greatest Wildlife Spectacle – the 1.5 million animal ungulate migration. From the vast Serengeti plains to the champagne colored hills of Kenya’s Masai Mara over 1.4 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra and gazelle relentlessly tracked by Africa’s great predators, migrate in a clockwise fashion over 1,800 miles each year in search of greener pasture.
