Hatari Lodge, the former Momela Lodge, sits next to Africa's most beautiful and diverse national parks, where the world's highest free standing mountain; Mt. Kilimanjaro rises majestically 5892 m into the blue skies. It is situated on the northern edge of Arusha National Park, with unspoilt views of lakes and craters, magical forests and the 4566m high dormant volcano, Mt. Meru which rises elegantly in the background. At the back of the lodge are traditional farm buildings.

Hatari Lodge is located just 45 kilometers from Kilimanjaro International Airport towards Arusha

The lodge had 9 rooms initially but there has been an expansion to include a 'Honeymoon' room and thus the lodge can ideally offer guests at least three exclusive, first class rooms. Each of the 9 rooms has an open fireplace and ensuite spacious bathrooms and a private terrace.

General Facilities and Activities:
Hatari Lodge has three buildings beautifully situated in acacia woodland with marvelous breath taking views onto the Momella swamp, rich wildlife and the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. The oldest building serves as a large central living and dining room where guests will enjoy delicious cuisine and find a cozy lounge area and bar with a veranda and viewing deck as well as a library. The breakfast terrace is bordered by sweet smelling acacias, and it also provides a viewing platform onto the Momella swamps and offers impressive views of Mt. Meru, Kilimanjaro and the wildlife close by.
Canoeing and bird watching on Momella Lake.
Game drives in Arusha National Park.
A walking safari across the crater floor of Ngurduto.
